Guys, I have stopped updating this page. This was the FIRST online guide to Vegan Food in Los Angeles (started in 1998) and for many years, it was the ONLY one! But I don't have the time or ability to keep it up-to-date. As you probably all know, there is a new sheriff in town. For the most extensive list of vegan food options in Los Angeles, please visit Quarrygirl.com.

If you just like *me* and want to continue reading my various reviews, you can come and be my friend on Yelp. I try to review interesting places, and I organize them into nice lists. I focus my reviews on Vegan Food (especially in unexpected places), places to get Classic Cocktails (especially for people over age 35! ;-) ), and Los Angeles Time Travelling Places, where you go to pretend you live in 1940!

Leonor's 12445 Moorpark Street
Studio City
818-762-0660
Mexican. It's apparently quite a controversial place, and there are suspicions that some items may contain casien or egg whites. The restaurant owners sometimes deny this. So, judge for yourself your comfort level. You may be safe if you avoid the chicken and the soy cheese, since those are reportedly the items that could contain casien and egg whites. I personally still choose to eat there. The beans and rice are really bland.. guess that's what no lard and no chicken broth can do. Vegan Friendly

I've been having a lot of people email me with new places lately..... and I figured I should add them to the list somewhere, even if I haven't personally been to them. So, here are the places that I cannot comment on, but that other people have reccomended to me. Whenever I make it to them, I'll add them to the big list... except for the raw foods places.... I'm just not the kind of gal who has found dining at the raw foods places to be my cup of tea! But they may be your cup of tea!
